WE’RE SWIMMING TO SAVE LIVES!
for the month of march resolute support is taking part in laps for life
What is laps for life?
Laps for life is an annual, month-long (March) swimming challenge in Australia that encourages people of all abilities to swim in pools or the ocean to raise funds and awareness for youth mental health. Participants set their own distance goals, log their laps, and support ReachOut’s work in youth suicide.
About:
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.
More than 1 in 3 are experiencing mental health difficulties, yet over a million are not getting the support they need.
ReachOut provides anonymous, free and 100% online services so young people can find a safe place to connect, share and get help when life feels overwhelming.
We're taking part in Laps for Life to make sure these vital services are always there.
Please donate to our fundraiser and help more young people get the support they deserve.
Key Aspects of Laps for Life:
• Purpose: Raises money to provide free, online mental health support for young people (ages 12–25).
• When: The event runs for the entire month of March.
• How it Works: Participants register individually or in teams, set a distance goal (e.g., 10km, 30km, 50km), and track their progress online.
• Flexibility: Participants can swim wherever they like—local pools, ocean, or fitness centers—and choose their own pace.
• Rewards: Fundraisers can earn incentives, such as swimming caps and hoodies, based on their fundraising efforts.
